You must attend for it will change your life, it's something you've never seen before. It features artist Diego Lucero as the embodiment of risk.
V!
Multimedia artist
V hopes to expand their technique in metal smithing and jewelry. V primarily works with found poetry using an accumulation of text inspired by their life experiences, music, and personal nostalgia. Their passion for jewelry came from memories of her mother and grandmother, who once ran their own jewelry business in Vietnam. There's a sense of calm nostalgia, and the memories of family that appear throughout V's work. One artist that inspires her work is Johnny Dang, a Vietnamese artist who designs a variety of Grillz. V joined Studio FreeLove to be a part of a welcoming art community and for the chance of new collaborations whilst learning from the experience whether it's in the form of music, performances, or any form of street art.
Diego Lucero
Musician
Diego is a musician working within the genres of mariachi, rock, edm, country, and more! They find that this is one of the best ways to express themselves. One of the things they love most about creating music is how it affects people and changes the way they feel. They have performed in a variety of locations and on different platforms, but they find more comfort within small communities. A huge inspiration for his work came from his father being a mariachi musician himself, who taught Diego how to harmonize, as well his mother pushing him to explore music. Diego's favorite part about being a member of a collective is getting to collaborate with fellow creative minds who push him to improve his work.
Trejon D
DJ/Studio Baker
As a passionate musician, Trejon finds his muse in his emotions; he does not limit himself to one genre. He works towards expressing from the heart and mind, as he is performing as a DJ for a variety of audiences and making time to bake for others. Trejon describes that there is a love in the process of baking, as he puts his own love into his process while he gathers ingredients to create his dishes. "I enjoy the reactions of people tasting my pastries. The only constant in baking is people appreciating it." The recipes are passed to him from family, friends, and his experience in the pastry industry. Trejon enjoys being part of a collective where "the person who runs it cares so much, and I feel like I can be myself while connecting with other artists." He hopes to gain an inclusive, empowering space to work on his art, having a consistent kitchen to bake in.
Stay tuned for next week's update!
